Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Flux (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Flux iOS app and related services at fluxios.xyz.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Apple, we receive an account identifier and may receive your email address (including a Hide My Email relay address). This information is processed through Supabase Auth to create and maintain your account.

Content you create

We store the data you create in Flux, including:

  • Tasks, pages, subtasks, and scheduling metadata
  • Areas and organization settings
  • Attachments you upload
  • Reminder and notification preferences tied to your account

This content is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL and Storage) and associated with your account so it can sync across your devices.

Optional Cloud AI

If you enable Cloud AI in Settings → Privacy, transcript text from voice capture may be sent to our Supabase Edge Function, which may forward it to Google Gemini to suggest tasks, times, and durations.

  • Only transcript text is sent — not your name, email, or account identifiers
  • Our server-side function redacts personally identifiable information before any LLM call
  • You can disable Cloud AI at any time; typed capture and on-device parsing continue to work

Information we do not collect

  • We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs
  • We do not track you across apps or websites
  • We do not upload EventKit calendar data — calendar overlay reads events on your device only
  • On-device speech transcription stays on your device unless you enable Cloud AI

How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Provide, sync, and secure your Flux account and content
  • Send local notifications when you enable task reminders
  • Process optional Cloud AI requests when you opt in
  • Respond to support requests
  • Comply with legal obligations

Where data is stored

  • Cloud: Supabase hosts account and content data. Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
  • Device: Session credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain. Local caches and preferences may use encrypted platform storage.
  • Processors: Supabase (infrastructure), Google Gemini (optional Cloud AI only), Apple (Sign in with Apple and App Store subscriptions).

Data retention

We retain your data while your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your auth record, database rows, and stored attachments. Deletion is designed to be irreversible.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • Turn off Cloud AI in Settings → Privacy
  • Disable calendar overlay in Settings → Integrations
  • Export your data as JSON in Settings → My Account → Export All Data
  • Delete your account in Settings → My Account → Delete Account

Children’s privacy

Flux is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International users

If you use Flux from outside the United States, your information may be processed in countries where our service providers operate. We take steps to protect your information consistent with this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date above.
